Learning about soft to hard governance in Climate action🪴 in Stockholm
Reading this article about 2 soft & creative ways Copenhagen guides tourists for climate action, reminded me of the last time I was in Stockholm, thanks to one of my oldest client/friend/partner company, Innovation is Everywhere.
We went on this Stockholm learning expedition with one of my very first MNC clients from the Food Sector!
The ambition? To meet some of the most amazing leaders in the Resilience & Sustainability Stockholm ecosystem and inspire our 40 high-potential leaders. 👨💼
Meeting Line Gordon from the Stockholm Resilience Centre, got us to hit the ground running 😃
For those who know the SRC, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟵 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 will immediately come to mind as they are the ones who shaped this framework.
Among the many meaningful and useful insights shared with us, the six levels of the “𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀” 🌱
It really helped me remind myself about the benefits and limits of soft governance in climate action plans and how very large businesses can take a role in helping entire geographies become more climate resilient. 🌍
And Copenhagen? After the sustainable power plant with a ski slope on its roof (check the picture), they are now using 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟰 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟲 for 𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 and 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, the 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 one, by offering incentives for public transport use🚋 get free brew with your reusable cup. Wishing them success with more responsible tourism.🌿
What policy options set in place by cities have you seen to foster more hands-on climate action at the individual level?🤔 . . #ClimateAction #LeadershipInSustainability #ClimatePolicy #LearningExpedition
🎉 It's a big day for the iMagination Centre
We're excited to announce the launch of a 100% creativity program at one of the top business schools in France, designed to supercharge the learning of 540 GBBA students! 🚀
It might seem unusual for a business school…well, check the latest job ads, you'll understand why it is spot on 🎯
We have seen the demand for creativity increasing significantly in the business world. Thus business schools must better prepare students, especially for a complex and AI-disrupted world.
It happens that creativity and impact are two of my all-time favorite topics 💓🎊 And thanks to the vision of Prof. Xavier Pavie, we've already been testing this approach for the past 2 years and about to launch it at a very large scale.
𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱? 🤔 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱
Many living creatures have creativity. A raven can use a stick to fish out a worm from a hole shows creativity, but it's not composing a concerto.
Humans are the only living creatures with 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 - think symphonies, scientific theories, or entirely new concepts to solve problems. We are also the 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜-𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚. And while some species show signs of cultural transmission of techniques, 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀, leading to artistic and technological advancements over generations.
Many reasons may impair our creativity, from social fear of failure to lack of time. So when Prof. Pavie tasked me with designing a method for 540 students to help students improve their creative skills, I accepted the challenge and collaborated with my team to develop a clear and strategic approach. 🧠💡
Today, I’m incredibly proud of the work done with— Xavier Pavie Jessica Gobert, Mathieu Bardil, Marine Brouet, @Vincent Ronsac Anne Etchenagucia Guillain Bouyoux Michaël Delouis
I’m so eager to learn from the students' perspectives—just imagine the opportunity to support and witness the creativity of 540 students simultaneously! MASSIVE! 🌟
I'm pretty sure I’ll be the one learning the most 😃
