My first few months of freelancing as a facilitator have been an absolute gift and whirlwind.

In the same week, I spent a few days in Nairobi facilitating exchange on climate, peace, and security, and then returned to Geneva to deliver a 1-day training on participatory facilitation methods, open to the public. I’ve also had the chance to facilitate conference workshops on peace issues in both Berlin and The Hague, as well as an internal strategic retreat for an international environment organization here in Geneva. I was particularly grateful for the kind recognition and award for an outstanding early career contribution to the field at the Third International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding.

In the meantime, I’ve tried my best to accompany a few communities of practice, and to support other organizations as they think about and design communities themselves. The rest of 2024 appears to be just as busy!

I appreciate so many of you for putting your trust in the processes and spaces we create together. (And a special thanks to Yannic Bucher for designing the beautiful training booklet.) It’s a dream to create a career in this way, and I commit to continue to build connections and bring enthusiasm wherever I go!
