Annika Sandlund is a seasoned humanitarian worker, journalist, and author with over 20 years of experience in the international humanitarian field, specializing in displacement and human rights.

With two master's degrees in international law and political science, Annika has held various key roles in reputable organizations such as the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the World Food Programme.

Prior to her humanitarian work, Annika excelled as a journalist at the Finnish National Broadcasting Company, where she directed documentaries and contributed to cultural programs, shedding light on topics like the situation of the Roma community and women's issues.

As a prolific writer, Annika pens a monthly column for two newspapers and has authored numerous articles and essays, including her latest book on aid work in Ethiopia.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Annika is a dedicated mother of three daughters who inspire her to challenge the status quo and stay physically active.

Throughout her career, Annika has served as a board member for organizations like Finnish Amnesty International and the Finnish Refugee Council, showcasing her commitment to advocacy and humanitarian causes.
