Ansley Carlisle is a highly educated individual with a background in Earth and Environmental Engineering and Chemistry.

Since I started my current job, family and friends often ask, “So like…what do you actually do there?” Apparently “venture capital investor” isn’t especially telling. In my reply, I usually rattle off this list: due diligence, deal sourcing, and portfolio company support. But what does that mean practically? Lots of conversations with entrepreneurs.

My hope is that this series sheds light on the unsexy parts of entrepreneurship: the roadblocks overcome, the hard-won lessons, the costly mistakes. I hope that fellow founders find wisdom in the stories of those on a similar path. I hope that anyone watching finds inspiration to persevere in the face of adversity.
And for my family and friends who are still wondering what I actually do for a living, I hope that this show gives a peek into my work life.
