Anthony Monaco

Dr. Anthony Monaco is a distinguished academic with a rich background in genetics and academia.

He holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Harvard University and an MD from the Medical Scientist Training Program at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Monaco's research career includes seminal work on Duchenne muscular dystrophy, focusing on isolating the responsible gene during his time in Louis Kunkel's laboratory.

He has served in several leadership roles in prestigious institutions, such as being the Director of the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics and later as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Planning and Resources at the University of Oxford.
