April Howe is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in leadership, specializing in areas such as Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership Development, Career Management and Transition, Coaching, Conflict Management, and HR Consulting.

April's career journey includes significant roles at reputable organizations. She started in the federal government and later transitioned to the recruitment and communications sectors. After a successful 16-year tenure as a partner with Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette, where she led the Career Transition practice, April joined the Nova Scotia Public Service Commission in 2017 as the Executive Director of the People & Culture Division.

In terms of education, April holds an Executive Masters of Business from Saint Mary's University - Sobey School of Business. Additionally, she is a Certified Career Coach and has acquired certificates in Mediation & Conflict Management from Dalhousie University.

Beyond her professional endeavors, April is actively involved in various boards, including the IWK Foundation, the Halifax Partnership, and the North End Community Health Clinic. She has also contributed her expertise to organizations like the United Way and the Black Business Initiative, showing her commitment to community service and leadership development.
