It is impossible to know if the choices you make in your career will one day lead to your dream job. I can now look back and say with certainty that every job I have had and every job I didn’t was essential in leading me here. I can’t be more excited to join Mother Design as President - an extraordinary group of creative, kind minds looking to shape the most ambitious companies in the world. I have always looked at Mother as the Utopian version of this dear business of ours - kindred spirits united by the unmovable certainty that creativity is worth fighting for and independence is pivotal to be able to stand by your ideas. Needless to say, it was love at first sight. Can’t wait for all of it. Peter RavailheDanielle HoraniehMark SloanCharles McKittrickTeri MillerJoe Staples. To my VSA Partners family, thank you for an amazing ride. I will always be rooting for you. #branding #design
What is the price of a bad experience? A couple of weeks ago my LinkedIn account was hacked. A young blond took over my account, kept my name, changed the last name and all my profile info- and proceeded to contact men to try to get them on WhatsApp. LinkedIn's response was horrific. You can imagine. Auto-replies, chatbots, zero empathy, professional gaslighting and what seemed like no genuine interest in trying to really help. They made things worse. If there was a "feelings scale" where 1= relaxed, 10= royally pissed), I was a 5 when I learned I was hacked and a 10 by the end of my dealings with LI. So every time I log on now, I feel my blood pressure go up and I can't help but ask myself, what is the long term price a brand pays for a bad experience? We use NPS to quantify word of mouth effect, but wondering what peeps here think about how to quantify the effect of a negative experience on long term brand health and the financial impact of trying to fix a bad impression?
