Arianna Morales

Arianna Morales is the Education & Workforce Lead at the Oakland Technology and Education Center (OTEC).46 She is involved in youth development, healing, and creating strategies and curriculum to empower young people.1 Morales has been in this role for over a year, focusing on education and workforce initiatives.6

Prior to her current position, Morales had a long career at General Motors, where she worked as a staff research scientist for 23 years.2 She originally came to the United States from Venezuela to study at Carnegie Mellon University and later pursued post-doctoral work that brought her to GM.2

Morales is also known for her philanthropic work and community involvement. She has been active in supporting LGBTQ+ rights and organizations, particularly through the HOPE Fund of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan.2 Morales is married to Stacey Cassis, whom she met in 2004 while serving on the board of Affirmations, a metro Detroit nonprofit.2
