Aruna Raman is a multi-skilled professional with nearly 20 years of experience in social startup building, social enterprise ecosystem facilitation, qualitative research, project and program coordination, writing, editing, marketing, and corporate communications.

She has worked across various sectors including the nonprofit industry, think tanks, private sector, and universities in the United States and India, specializing in qualitative research, writing for different media, and outreach.

Aruna Raman's educational background includes a Master of International Development in Nongovernmental Organizations and Civil Society from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from Madurai Kamaraj University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Psychology, and Classical English from Bangalore University.

Currently on a mental health break, Aruna Raman is exploring new pathways in the mental health space. She is particularly interested in the roles of 'experts by experience' in mental health for policy formulation, advocacy, outreach, and voicing mental health dimensions.

Aruna Raman's specialties lie in social enterprise ecosystem coordination and capacity building, qualitative research focusing on South Asia, outreach, program management, writing, and editing.
