This article offers several great tips, but the one that resonates with me most is actually quite simple: Even if you’re not actively looking for a new role, it’s important to update your resume once every six months. 🗓

And I know — that sounds daunting, but there are hacks and tricks to make this easier. Some of my favorites: ✅Keeping a Google doc where you log your accomplishments. Don’t forget those numbers and dollars! The more you can quantify, the better. ✅Creating a primary version of your resume that you can duplicate and tailor for different opportunities ✅Adding recurring resume review reminders to your calendar

But the main goal is always this: to make sure your value proposition is crystal clear to hiring managers and executive leadership teams. You’d be surprised how often really smart, insightful people fail to tell their story effectively.

To be clear: My advice here isn’t just for job seekers. Whether you’re approaching review season, preparing to ask for a raise, or thinking about your next step up, it’s key to track your accomplishments and articulate your value proposition.
