Austin Pryfogle is a seasoned community, labor, and political organizer with a decade of experience in leading impactful movements and campaigns. He recently spearheaded a strike involving 35,000 education workers at LAUSD, marking the largest classified education workers strike in history. Being part of SEIU99, Austin contributed to field strategies for significant campaigns, including supporting Gavin Newsome and Kelly Gonez. His approach involves creating systems of care, promoting community support initiatives like food pantries, mutual aid networks, and education on community care's importance. Throughout the COVID pandemic, he co-founded El Pueblo, a local branch of the Democratic Socialists of Los Angeles' StreetWatch Project, offering essential resources and aid to the needy.
