AtHoc was later acquired by BlackBerry, and Aviv then served as the VP Technology of BlackBerry AtHoc.
During his tenure at AtHoc, Aviv played a crucial role in product security, cloud operations, and the architectural strategy of the AtHoc product line. His expertise extends to architecting, developing, and implementing large-scale communication and security systems for military and commercial applications.
Aviv has actively contributed to industry committees such as the NFPA Emergency Communication System (ECS) committee and the OASIS Emergency Management Technical Committee (EM-TC). He has also been involved in developing protocols like the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) and the Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL).
Aviv Siegel is a graduate of the Technion, where he earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with honors. After dedicating 19 years to AtHoc, Aviv has recently taken a break to focus on personal endeavors, including spending time with family, personal growth, cheese making, and providing consultancy to technology startups.
