The Trade Desk clients are reaching a highly engaged audience during the Olympics through our partnership with NBCUniversal. This illustrates the premium open internet, where advertisers get outsized awareness, impact, and audience penetration without overpaying. During the US election cycle, marketers need to be vigilant and monitor the content around their ads. Ad opportunities like the Olympics, Netflix, etc. elevate brands, rather than undermine them.

UID 2.0 is more important today than it was yesterday.

The AdExchanger article highlighted a point regarding Criteo's test results: "Privacy Sandbox would boost GAM’s market share from 23% to 83%." In a post yesterday, Jeff Green wondered if Google might follow Apple's approach to "user choice," and I'd imagine that increases the likelihood of users opting out (or being opted out) of cookie-based tracking. This could "indirectly" enhance the utility of the Sandbox while providing a more acceptable explanation to regulators. Whether or not Google is playing 4D chess, the significant reaction, time, and money spent on this issue show an over-reliance on their actions. State privacy laws and the importance of first-party data, durable signals, and durable measurement frameworks remain unchanged. It might be optimistic, but can we envision a future state where a blog post doesn't dominate our conversation or company directions for 4.5 years?

Build with us at The Trade Desk, and let's try.
