𝐈𝐑 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 : Uniting Perspectives, Creating Synergies

Organized by Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture, Pune Event Date: August 21, 2024   I had the privilege of speaking at the IR Conclave 2024, focusing on "𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆-𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄 𝑩𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒂𝒏 𝑰𝑹 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆". Joining me on the panel were esteemed colleagues Priyanka Shakyavanshi, Udaysingh Kharat and SANDEEP GOKHALE.   In the realm of Industrial Relations, the concept of “People-Centric” is like an intangible essence—though not always visible like a perfume, its impact is profoundly felt. 𝑩𝒚 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒇𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔, 𝒘𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒓𝒐𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔. Often, there's a perception that HR and IR are distinct entities, sometimes humorously referred to as “𝑯𝑹 𝑰𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔” 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒖𝒔 “𝑰𝑹 𝑰𝒔𝒔𝒖𝒆𝒔.”   During my session, I shared insights and milestones from our journey in “𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒕𝒉 𝑭𝒖𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑶𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒕𝒉.” In my role within a Collective Bargaining Unit, I highlighted our achievements, including:

  1. Transforming chronic talent challenges into opportunities for addiction-free lives
  2. Transitioning from people with excessive debt to financial stability
  3. Enhancing earning potential and shifting from opposition to inclusive decision-making
  4. Supporting personal development to foster pride in both personal and professional realms   𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧’s unwavering support has embodied the true essence of“𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉,” creating a positive impact across all facets. As HR/IR professionals, it’s our duty to elevate the image of our unions and facilitate their role in broader organizational and societal benefits.   Key takeaways include the 𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻-𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻. We have revisited and applied various HR theories, from 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒍𝒐𝒘’𝒔 𝑯𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒛𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒈’𝒔 𝑻𝒘𝒐-𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒐𝒓𝒚, creating effective implementation methods and witnessing tangible results.   Beyond sharing my experiences, I gained immense knowledge from industry leaders and speakers, whose insights were both profound and enlightening.   A heartfelt thank you to Anuja Deshpande madam for this invaluable opportunity.   #IRConclave2024 #IndustrialRelations #IRConference #MCCIA #PeopleCentric #PeopleManagement #CollectiveBargaining #LaborRelations #EmployeeEngagement #HRBestPractices #bbslearnings #LeadershipDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth #HRCommunity #ManufacturingIndustry #WorkplaceCulture #OrganizationalGrowth #Networking #IndustryInsights #HRTrends #IAmExided

Embracing the Paradox of Life and Death

As HR professionals, we often find ourselves navigating the delicate balance between guiding others and finding our own path. Today, I want to share a reflection that has been on my mind, expressed through a quote I recently wrote under BB's Learnings: "What if the ultimate purpose of life is death? And what if the ultimate purpose of death is to live before? Now think, are you living to die or dying to live."

In our professional and personal journeys, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, forgetting to ponder the deeper questions that give meaning to our existence. This thought encourages us to reflect on our daily choices and motivations. Are we merely going through the motions, or are we truly embracing each moment, understanding that life and death are intertwined in a continuous cycle?

Let's take a moment to think about our purpose and the legacy we want to leave behind. Are we living with intention, passion, and purpose, or are we just counting down the days?

Please share your thoughts and reflections.
