Sexual health, mental well-being, social equity and justice

Ben Collins is a seasoned community organizer, networker, and convener with over 50 years of experience. He is the co-director of ReShape, a strategic think tank that focuses on movement building to address various social and health issues such as structural inequity, HIV, race, gender, stigma, trauma, neurodivergence, and substance use.

Ben is actively involved in several organizations and committees related to health advocacy, including serving as the board treasurer for EATG, a member of EuroTEST steering committee, and a former chair of EACS’ WAVE.

Through ReShape, Ben collaborates with the SHE Centre to center marginalized communities and address their needs for sexual health, mental well-being, social equity, and justice. The organization also serves as the secretariat for the Chemsex Forum, focusing on creating healthier and more inclusive communities.

Ben Collins is a chemsex veteran and responder, with personal experiences that drive his commitment to social welfare. He has been diagnosed with ADHD-combined type, has been HIV+ since 1982, and has been undetectable since 1998.

In addition to his advocacy work, Ben has a diverse educational background, including studies in Chartered Accountancy, Back-End Web Development, and Mathematics.

Ben has held various roles in organizations such as Chief Educator at The Collins School of Data, Founder at Collins Analytics LLC, Data Analytics Instructor at General Assembly, and positions in forensic accounting at Clifford Chance LLP and Charles River Associates. He has also served as a Trainee Officer in the Royal Navy.
