Brett Slatkin is a Principal Software Engineer in the Office of the CTO at Google, a position he has held since November 2021.1 He has been with Google for over 19 years, starting in October 2005.14 Slatkin is the author of the book "Effective Python"23 and co-creator of PubSubHubbub.3 He has extensive experience at Google, having worked on various projects including Google Surveys, Google Ads Measurement, Google Optimize, App Engine, and Google Infrastructure.1
