Coaching Career
Agler began his coaching career in college basketball, notably at Kansas State University from 1993 to 1996. He transitioned to professional basketball as the head coach of the Columbus Quest in the American Basketball League (ABL), where he achieved significant success, leading the team to two championships and earning ABL Coach of the Year honors in 1997.14
WNBA Tenure
Agler's WNBA career started when he became the first head coach of the Minnesota Lynx from 1999 to 2002. He later coached the Seattle Storm from 2008 to 2014, leading them to a championship in 2010 and receiving the Coach of the Year award.13 His tenure with the Los Angeles Sparks began in January 2015, culminating in another championship victory in 2016. This achievement made him the first coach to win WNBA titles with two different teams.145
