Brian Peterson is an experienced author, educator, consultant, and speaker dedicated to promoting college access, completion, and community empowerment.

With over twenty years of involvement in student life and teaching, Brian aims to address the various challenges students face, such as academic, social, financial, and cultural, by providing the necessary tools and insights for them to succeed and thrive.

Brian Peterson directs Makuu, the Black Cultural Center at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is actively engaged in supporting student success both on and off campus.

His commitment to student empowerment led him to write the book 'Higher Learning,' which focuses on helping students maximize their potential, exceed their own expectations, and contribute positively to the community.

Brian's journey in academia and various roles in educational settings showcase his passion for empowering students and helping them navigate through their academic and personal challenges.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education, Culture, and Society, both from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.

Brian Peterson has been associated with esteemed organizations such as the University of Pennsylvania, where he serves as a Director, and has previously worked as a Content & Curriculum Developer at DiverseForce and as a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania.
