📣 Announcing Wisk’s acquisition of Verocel, Inc. 📣, a leader in the development, verification, and validation of high-integrity software for aviation! Verocel’s team of over 50 highly-experienced software engineers will accelerate software certification on our autonomous Gen 6 aircraft product and make important contributions to our new Wisk and Boeing software toolchains for years to come.

For the past 25 years, the Verocel team has been leading the delivery of high-integrity software products within the aerospace industry. The team has deep expertise in DO-178C and are members of standards committees for high-integrity software including RTCA/Special Committee, EUROCAE Working Group, and the FAA’s Overarching Properties Working Group. Verocel has completed over 160 projects for customers throughout the industry, including Boeing and other major aerospace customers.

In addition to high-integrity software development and V&V services, Verocel also develops and produces safety computers for the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), an air navigation system that enhances GPS accuracy and integrity to enable aircraft to safely navigate all over the world today.

Wisk designs and builds most of the systems on our Gen 6 aircraft, including the software, so Verocel’s capabilities will be an incredible addition to our team.

It’s been a joy to work with Jim Chelini and the Verocel team, and we’re so excited to work together towards FAA certification of the first passenger carrying autonomous, electric aircraft.

Welcome to team Wisk!
