"Am I ever going to get back to Japan?"
This video might not have gone viral like my previous one (which garnered almost 300K views), but I believe it holds a more valuable message.
This time last year, I was still in Mexico. I had no client pipeline, no registered business, and certainly no visa. Despite these challenges, I kept my dream alive by doing two critical things:
I was the main supporter of my dream: I continually spoke life into my dream and did not rely on others for reassurance. My unwavering belief in my vision was my driving force.
I implemented my own 1% rule: Each day, I asked myself, "How can I live 1% of my dream today?" Sometimes it was as simple as going to a Japanese restaurant or listening to Japanese music.
While I have been fortunate to receive a lot of support and luck on my journey, I am convinced that these two practices were instrumental in keeping my dream alive, especially when it felt distant. Perhaps these strategies might help you if your dream, like mine, seems far away.
