This is my first ever post of the kind and I hope it succeeds for a dear friend of mine in the cannabis industry who needs help securing employment in someone's cultivation operation, ideally in the Denver/Boulder area, but open to relocation. Please note that I am NOT seeking a placement fee for his hire.

This friendly colleague of mine is an experienced cannabis cultivation specialist with expertise in indoor/outdoor growing, organic methods, and large-scale operations. He has a proven track-record of success in breeding projects, seed production, and team supervision. He is a strong team player focused on compliance, quality, and efficiency.

He is a dear friend of mine because he is an incredibly caring individual with a huge heart and passion for plants + people. If I am willing to trust this man in my home and with my kids, then I hope someone good out there will be willing to trust him with their plants. Incidentally, I know for a fact he can grow some VERY happy plants :)

Thanks in advance for any interest in meeting this friend I'm trying to help.

BIG workplace news week...

The Federal Trade Commission issued a final rule yesterday (4/23/24) to ban noncompete agreements nationwide in an effort to promote competition, protect the fundamental freedom of workers to change jobs, increase innovation and foster new business formation.

In related news, (Massachusettes) employees at one of the #cannabis industry's largest employers (Cresco Labs) voted to de-unionize which makes that the first ever instance our industry has seen where a regulated cannabis workplace exited organized labor. The employees opted against negotiating a new deal with the union, citing scheduled wage increases that didn’t keep up with inflation and less attractive benefits than what nonunion workers received.
