Today, I have the privilege of working with leaders at at the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments.
Of all the workshops I've been able to lead, this topic is closest to my heart because I think it's the hardest to master, but also the most impactful. When things are not going according to plan, leaders can't afford to be too soft, or too hard either.
It's not just the collective results that are at risk, but the trust and relationships involved also.
Especially in this age where wrongs want to be made right, disagreements abound, and our society feels on edge walking on eggshells around each other, I think it's just such a crucial thing to get right.

Judgment is surely a human thing to do, but it stunts our ability to understand and connect with others/ourselves. So, it stunts leadership and performance ability.
In a sick way though, the pay off is that we get to blame the poor results on the people we judge, disowning to our role in the self-fulfilling prophesy.
This is true in relationships, organizations, and societies. Humans gonna human. But we can be better than that.
It's so simple, but judgment free awareness is is one of the most profound ways to approach life and people through!
