Calvin Morriss is a highly accomplished professional, currently serving as the Head of Athletic Performance at England Rugby, a position he previously enjoyed during the early 2000s.

In his current role, Calvin is responsible for overseeing and leading the provision of Athletic Performance services for the Rugby Football Union. He focuses on implementing long-term strategic approaches to player development, optimizing team performance, and contributing to the future of professional rugby in England.

With an extensive background in elite sports, Calvin has held key positions such as High Performance Consultant at World Rugby, Head of Performance Support at British Cycling, and Head of Speed and Power Sports at the English Institute of Sport.

His experience also includes roles as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Great Britain Men's basketball team and as the Senior National Fitness Coach at the Rugby Football Union, where he directed the Athletic Performance program for the England Senior Squad.

Before his tenure at the Rugby Football Union, Calvin served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at UK Athletics, overseeing fitness programs for Olympic athletes, including renowned javelin thrower Steve Backley.

Calvin's academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Sports Biomechanics from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.

Aside from his work in elite sports, Calvin has been consulting for the wellbeing company 7 Futures since 2017. He is passionate about health and wellbeing and has been instrumental in enhancing the resilience and wellbeing of employees in various businesses.
