Highlights
Do you know what your sponsors want more than a six-month-old, 180-page recap that tells your season/event story with their sponsorship assets weaved into it? (You know who you are :) ) Here are three things (plus a bonus!) to start doing NOW:
1️⃣ Immediate Performance Feedback 🕒 -- Share insights right away on how to optimize assets that aren't performing as expected. Think about events with low attendance or signage that's blurry and unreadable on TV or streaming broadcasts.
2️⃣ Fresh Opportunities 💡 -- Pitch new concepts that align with current trends (think viral videos, social media challenges) that they can leverage for their upcoming events. Being timely = being memorable in sponsorship. Help them move at the speed of culture.
3️⃣ Quick Asset Gallery 📸 -- Provide a fast, easy-to-digest gallery of their involvement that they can quickly show their boss (the CMO who writes the check) while the event is still in the headlines. "Oh yeah, that [event name] happening right now? Yep, we're involved! Check out this quick 3-page gallery of our early successes."
4️⃣ [BONUS] Business Objective Feedback Loop 🔄 -- Revisit critical conversations about how your sponsorship drives awareness for their critical business objectives during peak seasons. For example, discuss how you're impacting the spring home-buying season, holiday shopping, or back-to-school periods for retail and restaurants.

Jim Harbaugh is right; adults should bring their gloves to the ball game (kidding). But this is a pretty cool video, the Oakland Athletics saved this for the final season in Oakland. (video)
