Highlights
Last week we hosted a transformative workshop for a global team of 50 in Toronto.
They flew from around the world to get together for the first time in years for a week-long conference with the broader organization.
During this busy week, they carved out 3 hours to spend time together. And this time together couldn’t just be another meeting.
After years of navigating relentless change, this team came together to bond, but to also learn how to thrive amidst transformation.
Their feedback? "The best workshop of the week!" 🎉
The cliché, of course, is that change is a constant.
And this is true.
Yet, the number one message that we wanted folks to walk away with was that there is absolutely something that we can do to get better at managing change for ourselves and others.
But a strong second takeaway, is that there is such strength to be able to lean on each other to navigate and flourish amidst change.
We make each other better.
Here's to embracing change, building strong teams, and turning challenges into stepping stones for success.

In Farnam Street’s newsletter a few weeks ago, Shane Parrish included a ‘Tiny Thought’ that really got me reflecting.
He listed 5 different types of hard work.
1 - Outthinking (a better strategy, a shortcut) 2 - Pure Effort (working longer, intensity) 3 - Opportunistic (positioning yourself to take advantage of change) 4 - Consistency (doing average things for longer) 5 - Focus (saying no to distractions)
Each of these requires a different type of effort from us.
Effort, one can assume, that leads to progress, impact, and hopefully results.
These make sense.
But what’s even more impactful about seeing it in black & white is that it made me think about how I do hard work (mainly in #s 1 and 2),
and that perhaps I should be spending more time in the 3 - 5.
What if, like different tools, we were to select the “right” hard work for the "right" situation?
The lift occurs when we get very proficient at discerning what certain situations are calling for.
What are your thoughts? How do you do your hard work?
