Caroline Pullee is an accomplished professional with an extensive background in academia, specializing in art and design education, history of design, and material culture.

With over 30 years of teaching experience in art and design, Caroline has demonstrated expertise in course leadership, subject management, and a deep understanding of design theories and studio practices at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Caroline holds a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Mass Observation from the University of Sheffield, a BA(Hons) in History of Design from the University of Brighton, and an MA(RCA) in History of Design, Design & Architecture from the Royal College of Art.

Throughout her career, Caroline has held various key roles including Academic Lead for Quality Assurance & Enhancement at Falmouth University, Head of Contemporary Crafts, Programme Leader for Three-Dimensional Design, and Course Leader for Spatial Design, Interior Design, and Garden Design at Falmouth University.

She has also served as Chief External Examiner at the University of Brighton, as well as in teaching and research positions at institutions such as University College Falmouth, London Metropolitan University, and Newcastle College.

Caroline's broader experiences include chairing panels for collaboration approval events, involvement in undergraduate & postgraduate validations, external examining, and moderation. She has also provided consultancy services to organizations like QAA and Edexcel, and has been instrumental in establishing franchise links between further and higher education institutions.

Her expertise extends to conference organization, editing, curation, and design journalism, showcasing her versatile skills and knowledge in the academic and creative fields.

Caroline's teaching areas cover a wide range of disciplines including Design, History and Theory of Architecture & Design, Material Culture, and History of Art & Design Education, addressing critical issues such as sustainable design, user-centered design practice, and theories of space and place.
