Chamindie Punyadeera is a distinguished inventor and a staunch supporter of women in STEMM, with a strong focus on advancing diagnostic solutions for more accessible healthcare.

With an educational background that includes a PhD in Clinical Chemistry and a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry, both from the University of the Witwatersrand, as well as a Bachelor's with Hons in Chemistry from the University of Botswana, Punyadeera possesses a solid academic foundation.

Punyadeera has held key positions in various organizations, notably as the Co-Founder and Director of Fragment BioTech, where her innovative contributions are paving the way for cutting-edge diagnostic solutions. Prior to this role, she served as a Principal Research Fellow at Griffith University, a Principal Researcher at QUT, a Smart State Senior Research Fellow at the University of Queensland, a Project Leader and Senior Scientist at Philips, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Maastricht University.
