Cheryl Derricotte, AICP, is an accomplished individual with a diverse skill set and background. Her expertise spans project management, real estate development, pro forma development, feasibility studies, relationship management, and creative place-making.

Cheryl serves as a Visiting Professor in the department of art and art history at a prominent R1 public university. She is not only an educator but also a practicing visual artist, with exhibitions across the US and Europe.

One of Cheryl's notable achievements is her work as a sculptor on 'Freedom's Threshold,' the first monument dedicated to Harriet Tubman that features glass as its primary medium. This remarkable piece was created for Republic Urban Properties at Gateway at Millbrae Station.

With a background as a skilled owner's representative for real estate development, Cheryl excels in leasing, tenant improvements, and various construction requirements. She is recognized as an ambassador for creative places and is a captivating public speaker.

In the realm of real estate development and creative place-making, Cheryl stands out as a licensed city planner. She was instrumental in developing the first fully permitted All Gender Restrooms in a commercial office in San Francisco for Patreon.

Cheryl's educational journey includes a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Inquiry; Interdisciplinary Arts from the California Institute of Integral Studies, a Master of Regional Planning in Housing and Local Economic Development from Cornell University, and a BA in Urban Affairs with a minor in History from Barnard College. She also holds a Diploma from Sidwell Friends.

Throughout her career, Cheryl has been affiliated with various organizations in different roles. She has served as a Municipal Artist-in-Residence at Kala Art Institute, Marva and John Warnock Artist-in-Residence & Visiting Professor at the University of Utah, Independent Contractor at Virta Health, Sr. Manager in IT Operations and Remote Operations and Places at Virta Health, Senior Manager in Global Real Estate & Facilities at Patreon, and more.
