Gino Cavicchioli is a Canadian sculptor and artist born in Australia on March 9, 1957.12 He is based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.1 Cavicchioli spent most of his formative years in Rome, Italy, and cites the Italian Renaissance as the earliest influence on his style.13

Cavicchioli is the official sculptor for the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, which houses many of his portrait busts spanning almost a decade.1 Each portrait bust starts abstractly in clay and builds into a realistic vision of the person.1 The final sculpture is then cast in bronze.1 In November 2008, a bronze sculpture honoring Margaret and Charles Juravinski was unveiled at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton to commemorate the couple's donation to health care projects across the city in 2006.1 It was placed in the lobby of the new Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Care Centre in 2012.1
