Chioma Ukwuagu is a seasoned professional dedicated to making impactful contributions to policy development at local, national, and international levels.

With a career spanning over two decades since graduating from the university in 2002, Chioma has accumulated rich experience across various sectors, including the private industry, UN agencies such as UNWomen and UNDP, and notable organizations like ECOWAS, Oxfam, and currently IFES, where she serves as the Gender Advisor.

Chioma's professional focus lies in promoting transparent and accountable institutions that address social development challenges, emphasizing the importance of gender equality and recognizing the interconnectedness between men and women for humanity's advancement.

Her diverse skill set encompasses grant making, organizational development, coalition building, gender and women's rights programming, inclusive social development, humanitarian initiatives, civil society engagement, political leadership, economic empowerment, migration and trafficking issues, conflict prevention, peace-building, as well as general administrative and operational functions.

She thrives in collaboration with donor partners, governments, civil society groups, community organizations, student and youth bodies, aiming to enhance capacities for transformative change in society.
