Highlights
I stumbled across this relatively old article, read it, had some flashbacks to the discussions/arguments we had at the time and wanted to share a reminder.
If you're going to invest in patents, it behooves you to think, argue, and come to a resolution with smart people on how best to thwart someone from breaking it later! In the end, the patent exists to protect you later if you've created something worth taking. Otherwise you're spending tens of thousands of dollars for insurance that won't pay.
Also... don't show up at a US Federal Appeals court with a photo from Wikipedia and a plaintiff expert who points to it and says their position is the obvious truth. Little snark in the judgement, maybe?

Thank you to Suman Lal and Tricia Bitetto the Cambridge CIC staff in hosting me last night. It was a lot of fun to talk about some of my experiences and connect with former colleagues, friends, and attendees!
