Thus concludes Tidepool's summer conference extravaganza.
Finishing at ADCES is particularly special because diabetes educators are our power users and if we do the thing right, we are able to turn them into evangelists for our platform and our organization.
This year, conversations included the standard "tell me about Tidepool" and we had a healthy dose of "what's up with the twiist?", which was expected. But EHR integration was the MVP of our weekend.
Props to my colleagues who brought energy and enthusiasm to the booth every day.
All in all, we had an incredible showing.
It remains an unparalleled privilege to represent the Tidepool team.
Last week I was in Orlando, Florida representing Tidepool at Children With Diabetes flagship Friends for Life Conference.
We have very passionate fans. People I've seen for multiple years come to our booth to say hi, how much they appreciate our work as a nonprofit organization, and how excited they are for our future successes. We are doing great things and this community believes in us.
I spoke with lots of folks who were attending FFL for the first time who were both overwhelmed and grateful for all the information, especially families with kids who were diagnosed less than 12 months ago.
Spoke with a CDCES and NP who teared up sharing his family's story. He quit his job and pursued a career as a diabetes educator 2 days after his first child was diagnosed. He has LADA, and they're waiting for the antibody tests to eventually come back positive for their other child after participating in TrialNet. These are the stories that strengthen the bond if all of us know the diabetes community.
Seven years ago, FFL was my first time exhibiting on behalf of Tidepool.
As always, it is a tremendous privilege to represent this team and the great work we all do.
One more conference to go in the summer series. Will I see any of you in New Orleans for ADCES?
