Christy Gilbert Holstege is a civil rights attorney, community lawyer, and women's rights activist based in Palm Springs, California. She completed her J.D. from Stanford Law School and holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from UC Santa Barbara. Christy is the third-generation civil litigation attorney at Gilbert & Bourke LLP, specializing in Social Security Disability, worker's compensation, personal injury, employment, and housing law. She has a strong commitment to serving low-income and underserved communities, including individuals with disabilities, LGBT clients, homeless individuals, and victims of discrimination and violence.

Christy received a Stanford Law School-Stanford Public Interest Foundation Fellowship to establish a legal aid clinic for domestic violence survivors at Shelter From The Storm in Coachella Valley. She has also worked with California Rural Legal Assistance in Coachella, representing rural farmworkers in civil rights, housing, and employment litigation. Christy is actively involved in various organizations, serving on the board of directors for Women Leaders Forum, Well in the Desert, Democratic Women of the Desert, and Shadylane Mobilehome Park.

In addition to her legal work, Christy has held several key positions, including Mayor Pro Tem of City of Palm Springs, City Councilmember, Director of Collective Impact at Lift To Rise, Commissioner at Palm Springs Human Rights Commission, and various roles at legal organizations and advocacy groups. She has a diverse background with experience ranging from advocating for reproductive rights to serving as a Peer Health Educator in Sex and Relationships at UC Santa Barbara.
