Well - the time has finally come. After 8.5 years, I have made the difficult decision to leave Arabella Advisors. I am extremely grateful for my time here - for what I've learned, the impact I've been surrounded by, and the relationships I've built - I never could have imagined the depth of it all when I accepted this job. I am not immediately jumping into another role but will be taking some time to unwind and figure out what is next for me. I hope to reconnect with many of you so please don't be surprised when I reach out. Until then, be well.
It's hard to believe it has been a year since we lost Gwen Walden. I think of her daily as I sit at my desk with her photo smiling back at me. This past year has brought so much change and I often sit and wonder what she would have thought of it all. I try to channel her calm steady nature (unsuccessfully at times) and try to listen more than I speak. I feel lucky to have learned from one of the best that leading does not necessarily mean being the loudest in the room or the one standing at the front. Lately I reflect on the breakfast we shared in Berkeley, just before my move east. Anxious about my upcoming move and starting again, she sat there beaming at me helping to envision the life I now have in Vermont. She could see what I couldn't at the time, and I am grateful for her constant perspective. #RememberingGwenWalden
