Claudio Ochoa is a versatile professional with experience in private equity, consulting, entrepreneurship, law, government service, and board leadership.

As the Managing Partner at Donovan Capital Group, he focuses on investing in companies enhancing the national security of the United States.

Before this role, Claudio co-founded JCR & Co., a consulting firm, and Native State, a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company with products in major retailers.

His legal background includes practicing corporate law and white collar litigation at Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason, Anello & Bohrer in NYC and DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary in DC.

Claudio's government experience spans roles as press secretary for the Lt. Governor of Colorado, as well as engagements at the U.S. State Department, CIA, and The White House.

He is actively involved in the community, serving on the board of directors for Lincoln Hall Boys School and The Ochoa Foundation.

Claudio's educational background includes American University’s Washington College of Law, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, and the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.

Originally from Colorado, Claudio splits his time between Los Angeles and Washington, DC.
