Colin Bortner is an entrepreneurial public policy leader with a diverse background, boasting over ten years of experience across various sectors such as the US government, boutique public affairs firms, global technology companies, and innovative startups.

Colin's impressive career includes serving as the Director of Global Public Policy for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Netflix, where he played a pivotal role in overseeing the company's public affairs initiatives during its international expansion.

Beyond his work at Netflix, Colin also founded a pioneering biotechnology startup in San Francisco and contributed to shaping US technology policy while working both on and off Capitol Hill.

Currently, at Glen Echo Group, Colin lends his expertise to assist companies, campaigns, and causes in navigating complex technology policy issues with a focus on the US, the EU, and the global landscape.

Colin's educational background features an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Linguistics from the University of Rochester, where he also delved into Creative Writing under the Take Five Scholarship program.

Throughout his career, Colin has held various roles in esteemed organizations such as Think Speak, Glen Echo Group, BerlinRosen, Ivy Natal, Monument Advocacy, and the U.S. House of Representatives, where he started as a Paid Intern at the Committee on Homeland Security.
