Highlights
It has been just over month since we became part of the International School of Tanganyika community here in Tanzania. Being back on African soil, after 17 years of living in various places around the world, is an absolute breath of fresh air. We may not have all the convenience and infrastructure that we had in Asia, although we really lack for nothing, but we have more peace of mind because we are in a place where we feel a sense of belonging and connection. We may not be 'from here' exactly, but we are from just a little further down the road...
My heart is full. My soul is refreshed. You can leave Africa, but Africa never leaves you.

Love this great tradition which the International School of Tanganyika has! Each new teacher year group is gifted the same kitenge pattern to tailor outfits from. They even provided the tailors! Then on Fridays we all wear our kitenge outfits. It's amazing to see so many different patterns and colours around campus but also being able to quickly identify your own group of newbie teachers. This is Rensia and I in the outfits we had made. #ISTLearns
