Cory Christopher

Director of Conservation

Cory Christopher is an ENFP plant ecologist with a strong focus on environmental education and public engagement in conservation.

With a background in ecology from the University of Georgia's Odum School of Ecology, Cory's systems thinking approach makes him a valuable asset in strategic planning, research & development, and community outreach.

Having directed UC Forward at the University of Cincinnati, Cory has experience in teaching design & innovation courses and applying systems thinking, design thinking, and critical analysis to problem-solving.

His expertise extends to using integrative approaches to break mental barriers and encourage broader thinking among colleagues.

Cory has a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati, along with an MS and a BS in Ecology from the University of Georgia.

His professional experience includes roles as Director of Conservation at Cincinnati Nature Center, Academic Program Director at University of Cincinnati, Graduate & School Programs Manager at Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, and Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Washington University in St. Louis.
