What a wonderful week! A real celebration of people and passion and our business.

From Monday’s cohort gathering with my PR Council CEO buddies (who enriched my thinking with all their smarts) to the PRovoke Sabre awards where we celebrated with our winning clients and took home agency hardware for our DEI and Best Place to Work priorities to our own “morning after” mimosa toast and breakfast Booth style with our staff, it was both inspiring and humbling. But then there was more!

What an honor and privilege to host the faculty from the department of strategic communication at the Bob Schieffer College of Communication at TCU in Fort Worth.

A brainstorm back in January with Dr Catherine Coleman, dept chair, birthed the vision for a faculty “industry immersion” in NYC. The goal: to help future-proof their curriculum in order to equip their students with the skills and mindset needed to drive our industry forward. And to expand their own network of professional/industry relationships so that they can partner meaningfully in the future on behalf of their students and their own academic research.

Over two days, they visited a variety of agencies and met with leaders at Weber, M Booth, Global Gateway Advisors, VLMY&R. (A huge thank you to all!)

And Friday, we capped their experience with a “main stage worthy” panel of professionals (people I am lucky enough to call friends and career colleagues).
This group’s insights, wisdom and humor made for an interactive conversation that was so enriching and engaging we not only extended our time together but the TCU faculty erupted in a standing ovation when we finally had to put the mics down. And beyond the dozen faculty IRL, we were privileged to have Dean Kristie Bunton and other faculty members join by zoom. Brava to our amazing panelists Kim Sample, Aaron Kwittken, Bob Osmond, Tayla Mahmud, Megan McCann and Alexis Davis Smith.

And thank you TCU faculty for your humanity, intentionality and commitment to the students who are the future of our industry.

This post is my standing ovation to everyone who contributed to the two day immersion journey- you spoke boldly, bringing hearts, smarts and passion to our shared goal of making a real difference in how we shape our next generation of talented communication professionals. ❤️💪

But for me the most meaningful outcome is one I didn’t see coming. This group of extraordinary educators also turned out to be extraordinary humans — exuding warmth, compassion and commitment not just to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where their students thrive but to supporting a mom about to send her only child off to college this fall. There is no question that my son has made a very good choice. TCU here we come! #FrogFamily

This is a big week for the Booth Group: 10 Sabre nominations; two agency of the year nods (M Booth for Creative Agency of the Year and M Booth Health for Healthcare Agency of the Year); and then this morning’s news that we were named a Best Place to Work among midsized agencies (and MBH is in the top 5 for small agencies).

Humble brag: Yes, we have won before but it never gets old. With each year’s nod, we know we are building a workplace for our future, powered by our people-first culture. This is my “why.” To prove that good people can do great business and that humanity can drive performance. I want talented people to do what they love in a place that they love; to experience the magic that happens when we show up as our best selves and create a culture where everyone is welcome— all the time living our personal values while wholly embracing those of the organization that we are building together.

So congratulations to our BOLD Boothers who Brave It, Own It, Learn It, Do it. And hats off to our client partners who make it all possible. Finally, thank you for this recognition PRovoke Media. It means a lot.
