Highlights
🌱 Indigenous people have been protecting biodiversity successfully and with very little means - and that despite very challenging conditions, throughout history.
Still, most funding and attention goes elsewhere when it comes to finding solutions with regards to climate change, biodiversity loss, air and water pollution etc. Even though we've got experts living among us whose traditional practices, cosmology and way of being could help us so much to protect our home, planet earth.
In our Deep Dive Series, we would like to develop a "Community of Practice" that is exploring, creating and implementing a systemic investment ecosystem for Indigenous peoples and local communities (IPLCs) - in order to preserve and protect biodiversity, ancestral knowledge and systemically finance and develop bioregional economies in partnership with Indigenous Nations.
Please join our Kick-Off call next week 🙏🏼.
Do you know anyone who has experience in working with Indigenous Leaders and communities?
Why? Because I'm interested to understand the people, organisations and projects that are already out there beyond those I already know about who care deeply for Indigenous lands, cultures and ancestral wisdom. I want to know what you do, why you do it and what you struggle with. Ultimately to see how I can help.
Since my Wisdom Quest last year that lead me to interview quite a few Indigenous Leaders, I have some ideas in mind, but would like to verify and learn more.
So please, if you work in this field or know someone, ask them to fill the mini survey (link in comments). I would love to have a call then subsequently, to dive deeper and exchange also about the experience, insights and observations I made so far.
In short, I am aiming at identifying other "Stewards" as I believe we should be working together. How I define that? Read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/gxcfDRNS
