Highlights

If you're an introvert, you can relate to this.

I never felt like I had a voice at work.

Everyone always seemed so confident and outgoing.

I always felt like the odd one out.

Managers would say things to me, such as:

"You need to lighten up."

"Show a bit of enthusiasm!"

This left me feeling like I wasn't good enough.

Instead of working on this, I just accepted that my career wouldn't go as far as I once hoped.

I used the excuse of:

"One day, I'll work on this"

"One day, I'll have money to invest in myself."

But that time never came.

It got to the stage where I would see everyone around me making progress, and I was staying stagnant.

I decided to invest in my development.

I let go of any excuses about a lack of money or time.

And went for it.

Not long after working with my coach, I started noticing huge improvements in my career and my life in general.

I doubled my salary a year later.

You can't change those around you, but you can go out there and work on yourself.

You won't regret starting this journey.
