You don't need to tell your kids to learn to code any more.
I am SOOO pumped about the release of OpenAI o1.
When I found out that google sheets is literally a free cloud server for Apps Script, I went nuts building docs that speak to the APIs that we use and then to each other.
If you are building a SaaS make sure your API has all the end points someone can imagine, be flexible with rate limits and watch what people are going to start building.
Some things I've made:
-
Creating a campaign in Smartlead and pushing the copy to it all from a google doc with your copy in it
-
A Credit Checker Sheet that gives me daily usage and balances of all our credit based tools like Prospeo, LeadMagic, Clay, BounceBan (Verify risky emails without sending messages)
-
Daily pulls of all our Smartlead campaign data into Sheets that flags issues (bounces, low replies, no leads, low on prospects not started, etc) and you can pause the campaign directly from Sheets
-
Daily data broken down by client
-
All your campaigns and mailboxes pulled from Smartlead, you can update the settings in bulk including warm up settings
-
Adding & Removing mailboxes to/from multiple campaigns at once in bulk
-
Email ramp up when you start a campaign to ramp your cold volume on your own schedule
-
Deleting campaigns and leads in bulk
... Almost everything in their API docs 😅
But I never wrote a line of code. I just explain in depth to Chat GPT, and give it my errors until it works the way I want it to.
Next week I'll give away a Google Sheet that interacts with Smartlead.
Comment on what might be helpful and maybe you'll get it :D

Seeing many newer outbound agencies dive into the investment and finance space - you are playing with fire if you haven't done your compliance homework:
If you’re working with finance clients, it’s crucial to understand European laws and U.S. SEC regulations 506c and 506b. These aren’t just guidelines—they’re laws.
🇺🇸 USA:
-
506c: Allows public solicitation of investments but requires every investor to be verified as accredited. Skipping this step? That’s playing with fire, and the consequences are severe.
-
506b: Prohibits public advertising and focuses on private placements. Establishing a substantive relationship before investment solicitation is crucial here. In this case, trust and rapport are everything.
If you’re sending cold emails outside the U.S., it's more complicated. Europe has more complexity, with each country having its own rules:
🇪🇺 Europe:
-
Most European countries have different rules on what can and can't be marketed, you have to have different decks for different countries.
-
The UK’s FCA has strict rules on financial promotions. Even post-Brexit, one mistake can lead to penalties.
-
Germany’s BaFin emphasizes transparency and investor protection. Misleading information? Expect immediate sanctions.
-
France’s AMF enforces stringent consumer protection laws. Messaging must be clear and precise.
Avoid your most costly mistakes ever by following these rules:
1️⃣ Never publicly mention an investment or fund that isn’t closed. Keep pre-closed deals confidential.
2️⃣ Never share investment materials in your first email. Focus on building credibility, trust and initiating a connection/relationship.
3️⃣ Coach your clients to avoid pitching any investment until they can demonstrate a substantive relationship or investor accreditation. Trust first, investments second.
Compliance is about trust. The financial industry thrives on credibility, and any hint of non-compliance can erode that trust instantly.
If you want to ensure your outreach strategy is both compliant and effective, let’s connect. We can refine your approach to maximize impact while staying within U.S. and European laws. 🔐
