Memes are trending in Web3, but what about Game tokens?
Spoke with Jillian Godsil, MA, BA (hons) and HackerNoon about the meme phenomenon:
The way I see it, its part of the web3 punk, f to the man culture, where current recycled BTC and SOL earnings are flowing into - but has less potential to bring in non-coiners.
Gaming on the other hand, is more intuitive to the casual masses and a well thought-out GameFi utility can lead the next wave of adoption.

Metaverse platforms and the use of blockchain technology provide new opportunities for brands and social-impact organizations. Uplandme, Inc. is thrilled to team up with KABOOM! for a unique campaign to support their mission to end children playspace inequality.
The best part of my job is working on innovative business models that involve social-economic immersion and experimenting with new fundamentals we believe are the future of online engagement: community&user co-creation, true ownership of digital assets, and building for communities- not "audiences".
I believe just like every NGO has a social-media manager running GoFundMe campaigns on META, we'll soon be seeing metaverse-managers working with dedicated community members to run NFT campaigns on a whole new level.
A special thanks to Carlos Restrepo, MS, CAE for making this happen, Tamara Lund for the incredible designs and Mallory Hank-Johnson, PMP for running the show.
Thank you James Cirrone and Blockworks for capturing the essence of this initiative in such a lively, and professional way.
