Highlights
I gave a TED talk last Friday. 🎤
Instead of humblebragging like a real LinkedInfluencer, I'm sharing 3 random learnings with my LinkedCommunity (FOR FREE).
💬 #1: Sure, you want to provide value to your audience. But even more important: Include inspiring quotes that others can easily share afterward. Imagine an event after-post with your face and a bold quote next to it. Starbucks fans might have an eye for Instagramability - you have an eye for quotability.
Think of TED's slogan: "Ideas worth spreading".
✨ #2: TED speakers usually are domain experts or thought leaders. If you're neither, explain at least one complex concept that almost no one understands. It doesn't even have to be related to your topic. I baked (pun intended) the second law of thermodynamics and entropy into my talk about curiosity.
It makes you seem much smarter and underpins your entitlement as a speaker.
😤 #3: The speaker coach will tell you to finish your script 2 weeks before the event, so you can rehearse and focus on your delivery (body language, intonation, etc.). But if you finish your script just on the event day (like I did), there's neither rehearsing nor focus on delivery.
I recommend listening to your speaker coach.
👏 Kudos to Jakob Martens, Alina Hoinski, Kimberley Looschelders, Yoav Sternfeld and their team for organizing this year's TEDxXU Exponential University event. Wouldn't have done this without you.

💃 My most important hire of the year? 💃
Hey, it's me again, your favorite serious LinkedIn troll. 🤡
Been busy making Dat Cookie work lately. And guess what? It works. 🤷♂️
Next up, I'm hiring another human sunshine aka store manager (f/m/d) at our historical Dat Cookie shop #1. To make it fly. When motivation meets experience in service, you might check out the job description in the comments. 💫 (All the fun and opportunity explained there.)
Please forward it to any relevant friends & family members. Or let me know where I should poach people from. 👀
Any hints are highly appreciated and the best ones will be rewarded with Germany's sickest cookies, of course. 🤤
Today's photo shoutout goes to Moritz Kötter and Pascal Mies for not only supporting "hands-on" but also upselling the sh*t out of our lovely guests. 🥹
