Highlights
📰 Some professional news: I just wrapped up my last week at Spotify.
Chartable's acquisition by Spotify has been the highlight of my career, and I’m truly grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside some of the kindest and smartest people I’ve ever met.
I wanted to take a moment to publicly thank: 📈 Gracie Beal, Jarred Trost, Doug Ramsay and the rest of the Chartable team (particularly the remaining OGs, Aaron Dowd, Christian Buckler, Joey Milewski, and Jake Shelley) for continuing the Chartable mission 🎧 Colin, Tom Robinson, Tim Paff, and Emil Patiño for carrying the podcast flame within Spotify Advertising, and Sahar Elhabashi, Nora Wessel, Roman Wasenmüller, Maya Prohovnik, and Austin Lamon for their stewardship of podcasts at Spotify 📢 Semin Nurkic, Mark Woodell, Aisha Ishak, Michael Villaseñor and the rest of the BPP crew; and Gearóid O'Rourke for a great second act together 🙏 Special thanks to Per Sandell and Lee Brown for their leadership, and for giving me the chance to work on big things.
I'm proud of the work we did together. I remain a big believer in the Spotify team and the podcast opportunity, and I'm rooting for them.
This feels like a good time to give massive thanks to all of Chartable’s original backers, including Lukas Biewald, Naval Ravikant, Initialized Capital (especially to Garry Tan for taking the initial leap and Jennifer Wolf and Zoe Perret for their continued support), Alexis Ohanian Sr., Alan Patricof, Jenny Fielding, Ryan Hoover, Jim Young, and Joshua Plattner.
I'm reaching the mention limits, so I'll have to add more shouts in the comments—but special thanks to Karo Chakhlasyan and Brittany Hall for their singular contributions in building Chartable.
What's next? Harish Agarwal and I are working on something new. And I’ll be spending some more time with my family this summer, too. 😎
I'm excited to get back to building and can't wait to share what we're up to. If you want to follow along, I’ll be doing the newsletter thing (will post on LI shortly). It's time to build—let's go!
