Over the past few years, I’ve heard so many people talking about how difficult it is to make better and more sustainable consumption choices in Singapore – and I can personally relate to these people’s frustration and dilemma.

I’ve been a vegetarian since I was three years old, so I know that it’s not only challenging to find great plant-based options in my day-to-day life in the first place - it also comes at a high cost.

I know that while so many people would love to switch to premium products like oat milk, it’s not always easy to find a coffee shop that offers oat milk as a dairy alternative, and when you do, you often have to pay extra for it. These barriers make it difficult for us to take a step towards becoming more responsible consumers, even when we want to.

At Flash Coffee, we strongly believe in empowering people - and that’s why we’re committed to making it easier for customers to make better consumption choices – whether it be for their taste preferences, for the environment or for their health.

We’re excited to announce that from today, Flash Coffee Singapore will serve oat milk by default for all milk-based drinks and will also fully remove the premium for all OATSIDE upgrades.

Keeping to our #DareToBeDifferent brand value, we are proud to be the first major coffee chain in the Asia Pacific region to make this bold move. Now, all you have to do is #SipForChange when you grab a drink from Flash Coffee.

We believe that this small change will go a long way in making great-tasting and high-quality oat milk coffee more convenient and accessible to everyone. We’re committed to doing our part to make the world a better place, and our hope is to inspire others to do the same.
