David Cho

Professor at Hope College

David Cho is an accomplished educator and scholar with a diverse academic background in literature and creative writing.

He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 19th-20th Century American Literature with a focus on Asian Pacific American Literature, complemented by studies in Critical Theory and American Ethnic Literature from the University of Washington.

David also pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Postcolonial Literature & Studies at Purdue University, as well as a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Poetry and Creative Writing from the same institution.

His undergraduate studies include a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Rhetoric-English with a Pre-Med emphasis from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

In terms of professional experience, David has held key positions at various institutions, notably serving as the Director of American Ethnic Studies and as an Associate Professor of English at Hope College.

Prior to that, he worked as an Assistant Professor of English at the same institution and has also taught as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Wabash College, University of Puget Sound, Seattle Pacific University, and North Park University.

His teaching experience includes roles such as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington.

David Cho's expertise lies in American literature, creative writing, postcolonial studies, and ethnic literature, making him a well-rounded academic in the field of English studies.
