Highlights
Had a fantastic time at the NUS Lifelong Learning Festival last Friday! One of the highlights was the insightful dialogue between Guest-of-Honour Minister Chan Chun Sing and Prof Aaron Thean on AI and the workforce.
Minister Chan's perspective on the "trilemma of education" - quality, speed, and affordability - resonated deeply. He highlighted the challenge of "teaching to the averages" and talked about AI as a potential solution to break this mold through adaptive and personalised learning. (Exactly what HeyHi is working towards Glenn L. Yueh Mei Liu Dzung Cao :D) His emphasis on education as a catalyst for imagining and creating a better future was inspiring. It’s clear that education is more than answering yesterday's question or fulfilling today's needs. It's about inspiring innovation and shaping a better world.
Later in the day, I had the pleasure to be part of a panel discussion on "From Theory to Practice: Harnessing AI in the Workplace." moderated by Clara Lee together with fellow panelist Adrien Chenailler, Jeffrey TAN, 陈顺利, PMP® CBAP® FSCS, and Sudhir Tiku Refugee,TEDx Speaker, AI Ethicist,Futurist. It was a stimulating exchange of AI adoption experiences and real-world applications across banking, telecommunications, supply chain, and manufacturing sectors.
The festival truly underscored the importance of continuous learning in our rapidly evolving world. Looking forward to applying these insights in my professional journey!

📢 Excited to announce our involvement in Project Moonshot, a groundbreaking initiative from IMDA's AI Verify Foundation! As a design partner, our team at Singtel Singapore is proud to contribute to one of the world's first Large Language Model (LLM) evaluation toolkit.
Launched by Minister Josephine Teo at the Asia Tech x Singapore ATxAI Summit, Project Moonshot is set to transform how we assess the performance and safety of large language models. By integrating benchmarking, red teaming, and testing baselines, it empowers developers, compliance teams, and AI system owners to manage risks and ensure responsible deployment.
This open-source tool, currently in beta and available on GitHub, reflects Singapore's commitment to leading in AI innovation and safety. I'm particularly thrilled to see the AI Verify Foundation and MLCommons collaborating on a common safety benchmark suite, setting a global standard for generative AI testing.
Links to Project Moonshot homepage and Github repo can be found in the comment section.
