I just took golf up last year, after 40+ years on this earth and nearly 15 years in the insurance industry. I used every excuse in the book.
▶️ “Oh man, I’m busy that day with [insert task].” ▶️ “I haven’t played since college, so you don’t want me slowing you down.” ▶️ “I would but the kids have [insert sport here].”
I quickly realized that most other people don’t play that often either and aren’t all that good. 😄 And the ones that are pretty good don’t care that you stink as long as you keep up with the pace of play.
So now, I try to say yes whenever I can.
By the way, I’m prolly taking out 10-12 poor spectators on the right—> about 40 feet past the tee box. 😱
