Community builder, Co-Founder of Society Staples

Debra Lam is a dedicated advocate for Persons with Disabilities and co-founder of Society Staples, a prominent social enterprise in Singapore.

Growing up in Singapore, Debra's personal experiences with her brothers with Autism ignited her passion for social inclusion and advocacy work.

Debra co-founded the successful Deaf Dragons, a dragon boat team for the Deaf and Intellectually Challenged, securing sponsorships and winning competitions.

Her efforts have been widely recognized, earning accolades such as the President's Challenge Social Enterprise Start-up of the Year award and the ASEAN-China Young Startup Entrepreneur's award.

She has been acknowledged as one of the youngest nominees on the Asia Tatler's Generation T-lister and a fellow of the prestigious Philip Yeo Innovation Fellows Programme.

Debra is also actively involved in educational programs, including the Young Societal Leaders Programme, where young leaders in ASEAN have a platform to share their perspectives globally.

Currently pursuing an honors degree in Psychology and Sociology, Debra's commitment to creating a more inclusive society shines through her extensive work and achievements.
